Welcome to The Chequers Racers Cycling Club!
Oh dear
We are The Chequers Racers, a disparate group of occasional cyclists, formed about closing time on 14 Nov 2010 and are based at our HQ, the wonderful Chequers pub in Laddingford. As well as encouraging a bit of fitness and fun, we aim to set ourselves certain challenges, our first and most intrepid was riding from Laddingford to Paris. We recently returned from a small tour of Spain in May 2012!
We are predominantly riding on road bikes at least twice a week but are keen mountain bike riders as well. We can been seen riding the country lanes around Laddingford and are known to venture to Bedgbury for a bit of off road frolics!

Our rides are attended by complete amateurs (most of us) and well honed athletes (currently one of us); all are welcomed. Please check out the Club Rides and Events pages to see what we are up to. Our riders are not only from Laddingford but also Yalding, Paddock Wood and other outlying villages & hamlets; you don't have to be local to join us. We are a friendly bunch and as you can probably guess by the recurring theme, we socialise at The Chequers pub, boring the pants off anyone who will listen about cycling, cycle wear, cycle gadgets etc...
